This is the second claim of underpayment against the label this week.
Lil Uzi Vert's 2017 breakout single "XO TOUR Llif3" has been the rapper's biggest hit to date, but the producer behind it says he hasn't gotten paid.
Atlanta-based producer TM88, took to Twitter on Friday (Jan. 5) to voice his frustrations with Atlantic Records over the matter.
"Atlantic still ain't paid n----s shit!" he wrote in one tweet. He followed it up, calling the Warner Music Group subsidiary "the worst label in the history of fuck shit!"
This follows similar claims from producer E. Dan, who earlier this week claimed that Atlantic underpays producers by retitling rappers' albums as “mixtapes,” “street albums,” or “compilation albums.” This week, one of A$AP Ferg’s 'Shabba' producers, Marvel Alexander, also claimed he only made $500 on the track.
Atlantic Records declined to comment. See TM88's tweets below.
